Five Year Old Owl Needs a Name
Seattle area company, Smart With Art, celebrates its fifth birthday with a mascot naming contest. Continuing its vision of affordable art enrichment for preK-6th grade, Smart With Art adds an exciting twist to its normal creative routine.
Online, January 17, 2012 (Newswire.com) - SNOQUALMIE, WA - Celebrating five years of success in the art education industry, Smart With Art wants Washington residents to help celebrate by naming the company's owl mascot. The person submitting the winning name will win an art party at their home with a dozen of their friends. Seen on everything from the company's website to the aprons that the Smart With Art teachers wear, the owl--with brush in hand--has become an iconic symbol of the company and the fun and enthusiastic attitude they bring to art education.
"I am proud of our successes over the last five years," said Amy Friedman, owner and founder of Smart With Art. "We started with a simple vision of providing affordable, mobile art education to as many elementary aged students as possible. We will always continue to focus on ways to continue that effort," said Friedman. Today the company serves more than 300 students in over 20 schools throughout the Greater Seattle area by providing after school art classes along with workshops and in-home art birthday parties.
Two years ago, the company added classes, workshops and art birthday parties in partnership with the Bellevue Art Museum. "We see a huge demand in providing art enrichment to the young," said Friedman. "They do not get it in school and parents are eager to find it elsewhere."
The public is invited to submit entries via the company's website at www.smartwithart.net. The contest began January 13, 2012 and ends on January 31, 2012. The winning entry will be announced on Smart With Art's Facebook page on February 1, 2012. The winner will have up to one year to use their in-home party. Full contest details can be found on the company's website at www.smartwithart.net/mascot.html.
