FlightScope Introduces X1 Launch Monitor

Online, April 26, 2011 (Newswire.com) - FlightScope introduced and shipped its first X1 golf tracking radar. The X1 will be FlightScope's entry level launch monitor and feature the company's 3D Doppler tracking technology. The new launch monitor will track the ball's entire trajectory and publish the speed, spin, spin axis, all launch angles including the tracked vertical descent angle and various distances the ball landed. Club data that will be measured in 3D includes the swing angles, speed and geometry of the sweet spot at impact.

FlightScope will also make available the speed profile and rate of acceleration of the downswing pre and post impact allowing users to gauge their club speed efficiency and shaft reaction to their unique downswing.

Compared to the FlightScope X2, the X1 will have comparable performance and accuracy, but will lack the portability of the X2 and will have to be connected to an external power source and data will be transferred via a USB cable to a PC.
