Florida Artist Expects Record Sales for Handmade Christmas Ornaments

Staci Lowry, an artist and entrepreneur who creates handmade quilted ornaments for Christmas, other holidays, and year-round occasions such as weddings, is featured in the November 19 issue of I Love What You Do!

I Love What You Do! is a weekly e-newsletter spotlighting artists and craftspeople from throughout America (www.ilovewhatyoudo.com).

Lowry has been crafting ornaments since she was a teenager, but only began marketing them commercially about five years ago through her home-based Clermont, Fla., company, The Ornament Girl.

The Ornament Girl's 2010 holiday collection she has just unveiled, with Lowry introducing a number of new design elements.

"I am very excited about this year's collection because I believe it really reflects the styles and colors that I have been inspired by this year," Lowry said. "Lately, I am finding myself inspired by what is in style and popular in home decor and not just related to the holidays."

Lowry tells I Love What You Do! that although her initial foray onto eBay was less than memorable, she expects 2010 to be her best-selling year ever. In the interview, she describes how she meets the challenge of balancing a successful business with family life while working from home, and what it takes to market her creations on the Internet through her website, www.theornamentgirl.com.

The newsletter also includes color photos of some of Lowry's favorite and top-selling ornament designs and, as with all profiles in the newsletter, her reflections on why she loves doing what she does.

"I'm delighted to be able to feature Staci and her work in this week's issue," said Mike O'Loughlin, editor and publisher of I Love What You Do! "Her craftsmanship is amazing and her creations are sure to be tremendously popular with readers now that the holiday season is rapidly approaching."

Subscribers to the I Love What You Do! newsletter receive 52 weekly issues for just $10.00. The newsletter is delivered by email each Friday. Complete ordering information, plus a secure shopping cart for placing online credit card orders, are available on the I Love What You Do! website, www.ilovewhatyoudo.com.
