Florida Students: Allied's Pharmacy Technician Program Approved by the Florida Department of Health

Allied's Pharmacy Technician Program has been approved by the Florida Department of Health, meaning that Florida students receive a fully recognized pharmacy technician education when they enroll in Allied Medical School.

Allied's Pharmacy Technician Program is fully approved by the Florida Department of Health, enabling students to enroll in a convenient, online program and gain the knowledge that prepares them to sit for the certification exam and register with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

Allied Schools is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which is approved by the U.S. Department of Education as a "nationally recognized accrediting agency." These credentials enable Allied to offer Florida students pharmacy technician training accepted by the Florida Department of Health.

Allied's Pharmacy Technician Program consists of two online courses, Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Calculations, which prepares students to sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. With the school's Pass or Don't Pay Promise, students are assured that they will pass the exam on their first try or receive a 100 percent refund of the examination fee.

At Allied, students study in an online format, which enables them to learn anytime, anywhere - textbooks are included with the tuition. The program includes assignments, practice problems, instructional Webcasts, multiple-choice online quizzes and final exam. Interest-free payment plans allow students to get started with an affordable monthly payment and without incurring long-term debt.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to increase by 25 percent from 2008 to 2018, which is much faster than the average for all occupations. With job prospects expected to be good, it is an ideal time to start pharmacy technician training.

"We are excited to offer approved pharmacy technician training to Florida students," said George Achenbach, president of Allied Schools. "There is a huge need for qualified pharmacy technicians nationwide and we look forward to providing the education that lays the groundwork for our students' success."
