Flow International Introduces Full Line of Innovative Waterjets at IMTS 2012

Flow International will present the latest in new waterjet technology at IMTS 2012, held at Chicago's McCormick Place on September 10-15, 2012, in booth N-6217.

A variety of new models from Flow's full line of Mach Series products will be operating live at IMTS 2012. The Mach series sets new performance standards across a full continuum of waterjet machine tools: the Mach 4 is comprised of industry leading technology that is years ahead, the Mach 3 is the world's most popular waterjet system, and the Mach 2 combines precision cutting with exceptional value. The breadth of machine tools and pumps offered by Flow provides the manufacturing industry with technology leadership and superior performance at every price point.

The system that is years ahead
The newest addition to the Mach 4 line of waterjets offers a variety of features that are unique to the waterjet industry. Equipped with an expandable modular design up to 14m (48') in length, the Mach 4 allows customers to increase the size of the cutting area as their business grows. The system's roller pinion motion system provides speed and quickness beyond that which can be obtained with ball screw or rack and pinion drives. The new Mach 4 also offers efficiency through details such as its ergonomic design providing full four-sided access to material and parts and a cutting head lighting system, as well as advanced diagnostics and easy-to-use FlowMaster® software. The system will also include Flow's patented Dynamic XD®, a high precision technology that provides Flow's patented high-precision taper and stream lag compensation software ("Dynamic Waterjet") to 3D bevel cutting application.

The world's most popular waterjet
With thousands of installations worldwide, the Mach 3 is the world's most popular waterjet system. The robust system design combines motion control and high-pressure pump all built into one compact, fully integrated machine. The system at IMTS will feature Dynamic Waterjet® with Active Tolerance Control, which provides manufacturers with two to three times faster cutting than conventional waterjet machines. Flow's patented Dynamic Waterjet technology sets the waterjet industry standard for highly accurate cutting.

High performance at an exceptional price
The newest addition to the Mach 2 line is a value-priced machine tool optimized for either pure or abrasive waterjet cutting. Whether cutting 3" thick steel plate or multi-stacked gasket material, the Mach 2 provides fast and accurate cutting at an exceptional price. The system on display will also be demonstrating Dynamic Waterjet with Active Tolerance Control.

Every pump technology on display
Flow is the world's leading supplier of direct drive and intensifier pumps. At IMTS 2012, the full range of pump technology will be operating live. Flow invented the ultrahigh-pressure direct drive pump in 1985, and at IMTS the latest innovation will be on display. The new HyPlex Prime, rated at 60,000 psi, will be powering the Mach 2. The industry standard ESL Intensifier Pump will be powering the Mach 3, rated at 60,000 psi, and the industry leading HyperJet pump, rated at 94,000 psi, will be powering the Mach 4 machine tool.

Application specialists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate Flow's vast array of waterjet machine tools.
