Focus On Customer Satisfaction: TÃœV NORD CERT Certifies Worldwide Corporation Fraport

TÃœV NORD CERT has comprehensively certified Fraport AG, together with 17 of its associated companies from Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Peru and Turkey.

As the owner and operator of Frankfurt Airport, Fraport AG is one of the leading organisations in the airport sector.

In July 2010 a new record was set at Frankfurt Airport, one of the most important air traffic hubs in the world. During this month, more than 5.2 million passengers took off from Frankurt - as many as 183,000 per day. And all of them can trust in the fact that Fraport AG operates a comprehensive quality management system whose objective is ongoing improvement of customer satisfaction.

This has now been documented in the form of certification by TÃœV NORD CERT to standard ISO 9001, which is a national and international benchmark when it comes to the competence and capability of companies and other organisations.
Experts and auditors from TÃœV NORD CERT also certified individual Fraport locations in the areas of environmental management and occupational safety and health.

"With this successful certification, Fraport AG demonstrates that it is aware of its responsibilities as regards quality, safety and environmental protection, and that it acts accordingly", confirms Dr. Ortrun Janson-Mundel, responsible at TÃœV NORD CERT for integrated management systems. This applies to both flight passengers and freight at all destinations in the world.

"Starting from the customer requirements, knowledge of the processes carried out in the organisation - along with their effectiveness, efficiency and interaction - is essential for sustainable business success", adds Christof Schneider, who works in the area of sustainability management, corporate compliance and internal control systems at Fraport. "Endorsement by an independent third party, in this case TÃœV NORD CERT, along with our successful recertification, confirm that we are doing the right thing and encourage us along the road to ever better performance".
