Online, November 6, 2013 (Newswire.com) - LINAK now introduces yet another value-adding accessory for the LINAK OpenBus™ system. The Electronic Brake Control system will help reduce the risk of patient falls and improve handling ergonomics for the benefit of caregivers.

The system which is developed in cooperation with a third party supplier is an automatic castor brake system for hospital, nursing home and homecare beds as well as other medical applications.

The system brakes 2 or all 4 castors by means of a single push button on the hand control. Furthermore, the system locks the castors automatically if the bed has not been moved for a predetermined amount of time.
