Forgive Me Father For I Have Sinned-An Autobiography by Phil Aguilar
Online, November 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Becoming an ordained minister in 1980, Phil Aguilar formed Set Free Ministries Worldwide, welcoming to his flock the outcasts, outlaws, and addicts in most need of fellowship. With attendance growing into the thousands during the early 1990's, Aguilar's early popularity was met with contention from other evangelists who questioned his methods and growing concern over the "biker" church. Allegations from former members followed, as well as insinuations that Aguilar's influence resembled cult leaders Jim Jones and David Koresh. The motorcycle ministry known as the Set Free Soldiers collapsed in 2008, amidst accusations of gang activity after a barroom brawl led to the arrest of Aguilar and others for attempted murder.
"Phil Aguilar's brand of outlaw Christianity made him an evangelical powerhouse-and has law enforcement calling the pastor a criminal" NICK SCHOU OCWeekly
