Former Model Eva Longoria Loves Those Lakers

Online, November 21, 2011 (Newswire.com) - We don't know how she does it, but Eva Longoria (America's sexiest housewife-who cares if it's fictional?) has bagged herself another basketball player and the people at ModelPromoter.com (the same site that tipped its hat to Bradley Cooper, this year's Sexiest Man Alive) would like to congratulate her.

Alright, alright, so maybe it's just a rumor... for now. But we love ourselves a good Laker-actress combo and Matt Barnes and Miss Longoria would make one of the most beautiful we could have imagined, so we're definitely rooting for them to just come out of the celebrity relationship closet already.

Last week Longoria was seen doing pick-up duty at LAX for Barnes, which one might argue is merely evidence of a friendly favor. But with dinners in New York and parties in Las Vegas under their belts, as well, their interactions seem a lot more romantic than they do platonic.

Now, we realize that top models everywhere are also hoping to snag high-priced athletes, on the merit of their own good looks, of course. So it's tough when someone just as gorgeous, but with a successful acting career to boot, swoops in and rains on your parade.

Have no fear, all you modeling mavens: Instead of viewing the stunning Longoria as competition, use her as inspiration. Make her your unofficial (and unknowing) mentor. Yes, she's chosen a career on the silver screen over one that utilizes still photography, but Hell, the woman could easily be your peer (hence why the show that made her famous wrote a once-booming modeling career into her character's history).

As for Matt Barnes, the Lakers forward is looking good in our eyes. How could he not? Professional athletes are in the best shape of their lives at Barnes' point in their careers and the man in question is no exception. We can only hope that all you top models' careers ramp up, putting you front and center in the public eye and more likely to land one of those coveted Lakers.
