Former Pro-Abortion Liberal Now Leads Conservative Pro-Family Values In Arizona

Phoenix, AZ - Cathi Herrod, head of Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) describes her radical shift from liberal to conservative, from pro-choice to pro-life.

Phoenix, AZ - 04/15/2010 - Many who know Cathi Herrod only as the fast-talking head of Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) know only one side of the story. They know Herrod as she is today: strong, outspoken, and fiercely conservative. What many don't know is her previous life as a liberal pro-abortion feminist.

A Phoenix-based ministry is offering an opportunity for women to hear Cathi Herrod, president of Center for Arizona Policy, explain her radical shift from liberal to conservative, from pro-choice to pro-life. In a women's luncheon on Saturday, May 1, Herrod will tell her story of how she moved from a left-leaning feminist to where she is today, helping to shape state policy on some of Arizona's most divisive issues.

As Herrod stated in a 2007 interview, "What goes on at the Arizona Capitol and in Washington D.C. impacts our lives each and every day. . .Social issues such as abortion and marriage affect the world our children are going to be in," she says.

Fast facts about Cathi Herrod:

• On Jan. 18, 2010, the Arizona Capitol Times named Center for Arizona President Cathi Herrod as one of the main people with "juice" or influence at the state legislature.
