Forum Info-Tech Announces Cyber Self-Defense Luncheon Events

Southern California IT company kicks off Cyber Connect Luncheon series in February to help businesses combat cyber attacks before they become catastrophes

Forum Info-Tech (foruminfotech.net) – an award-winning IT company that specializes in delivering managed services and cloud solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses throughout Southern California – is proud to announce the launch of the F.I.T. Cyber Connect Luncheon Series. Beginning in February, these events provide local business leaders with the knowledge and tools they need to protect themselves from cybercrime.

The first F.I.T. Cyber Connect Luncheon will be Feb. 27, 2018, at Bistro 13 in Camarillo, California. Forum Info-Tech is hosting this series of lunch-and-learn events to change the conversation about cybersecurity from responding appropriately to attacks to achieving proactive prevention. Attendees will learn about new developments in data protection technology and discover how to keep their organization’s sensitive digital data and other personally identifiable information out of the hands of cybercriminals.

You'd be surprised to learn how much of your protected data is already out there. It's amazing what these cybercriminals have in their possession. The business community needs to partner up to fight this with everything we've got.

Biren Shukla, CEO

One of the main topics at the discussion will be a new training program launched by Forum Info-Tech that is designed to help an organization’s staff be more vigilant against opening suspicious emails. This training program – named F.I.T. PhishNet – sends emails containing simulated malware to a client’s employees. Staff members who click on those emails are tracked and referred to additional security training.

Dark Web monitoring is yet another major topic of concern for organizations of all sizes. The Forum Info-Tech team will lead a conversation about preventing protected personal information from showing up on the Dark Web, as well as the importance of having a credential monitoring system to detect compromised data in real-time. All F.I.T. Cyber Connect Luncheon guests will have the opportunity to receive a free scan – valued at $500 – via the company’s new 24/7 Dark Web monitoring tool, F.I.T. Detective.

“You’d be surprised to learn how much of your protected data is already out there,” said Biren Shukla, CEO of Forum Info-Tech. “It’s amazing what these cybercriminals have in their possession. The business community needs to partner up to fight this with everything we’ve got.”
