Fragrance Creators Names E. Janset Batibay as Director of Communications and Media Relations

Batibay will lead the association’s education efforts across a multitude of audiences with focus on the science, innovation, and creative artistry that underpin the fragrance industry

Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) proudly announces the appointment of E. Janset Batibay as their new Director of Communications and Media Relations. With her dynamic expertise and passion for impactful storytelling, Batibay is set to enhance FCA’s education efforts while further solidifying the association's standing as the foremost authority in the industry.

Batibay brings experience in end-to-end public relations, communications, and relationship management in a wide range of industry sectors, including government, corporate, and nonprofit. She has a keen understanding of translating industry and consumer trends and technical information into compelling narratives. In her role at FCA, Batibay will oversee both external and internal communications, leading the association’s efforts to remain the most trusted and respected voice and advocate for responsible fragrance industry stewardship. 

Farah K. Ahmed, FCA’s President & CEO, welcomed Batibay to the team, noting: “I’m thrilled about the experience and passion that Janset brings to this position. Her expertise will enhance and accelerate the association’s priorities—to responsibly steward industry and promote policies and regulations that are good for people, perfume and the planet—effectively for all audiences.”     

Batibay holds a Bachelor of Science in Interpretation and Translation from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkiye and a Master of Science in International Communication Management from The Hague University in the Netherlands, where her thesis specifically focused on the role communications play in influencing policy making. She comes to FCA most recently from The Council for Inclusive Capitalism, where she championed a robust engagement and outreach strategy for member growth initiatives. With experience both in the U.S. and internationally, she brings to FCA a global perspective and appreciation of the need for aligned coordination across the fragrance value chain in the U.S. and around the world.
