Free Post Career Strategy Sessions Help Smooth the Transition for Retiring Athletes
A newly launched coaching practice, Clutch Coaching founded by Nichole Grant, looks to help smooth the transition from the playing field to the next phase of life by offering free introductory strategy sessions.
Online, September 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Where are they now? All to often, in the sports world, the answer to that question is bleak. Statistics show that 69% of basketball players are bankrupt, divorced or unemployed within 5 years of retirement. The number jumps to a staggering 78% in the NFL after only 2 years according to Sports Illustrated.
A newly launched coaching practice, Clutch Coaching founded by Nichole Grant, looks to help smooth the transition from the playing field to the next phase of life by offering free introductory strategy sessions. Using techniques based on mental muscle training, clients are able to address career and personal issues and achieve work/life balance and continue to produce and maintain an action-oriented and passionate life. The sessions will be provided on a first come first served basis and will be conducted via phone, Skype or in person (dependent on location).
Professional coaches partner with clients in a goal oriented, future focused process that maximizes personal and professional potential. "It's not that clients are weak minded," professes Ms. Grant, "It's just not always easy to transfer the skills they have to areas outside of their sport. Coaching is about increasing effectiveness and achieving goals in the fastest amount of time."
Having experienced a loss of direction herself after playing on the collegiate level, and realizing the huge lack of support for these players, Nichole found an opportunity, through coaching, to fill the gap for these athletes who have dedicated their lives and bodies to their careers.
