Fresh Alternative to the Dog Park Zooms into Charlotte

Zoom Room Charlotte, Canine Social Club and Dog Training Franchise, Hosts Fundraiser for Partnership for Pets

It's the most barked about event of the year - on October 22, the Zoom Room® will celebrate the social aspect of dog ownership throughout Charlotte with the opening of its new training center. Zoom Room Charlotte, located at 12239 N. Community House Road, Suite 134, is a sporty indoor dog gym that offers agility training and innovative group classes.

Charlotte dogs - and their owners - will enjoy an entire day of engaging activities, including free dog agility classes in the morning and a Doggy Disco® party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Caricature artist Eric Melton will also be on hand to draw a free doggie portraits.

The grand opening party will serve as a fundraiser for Partnership for Pets. The Zoom Room will donate $10 for every advance RSVP, plus 10 percent of the day's sales to the local non-profit animal welfare organization.

Partnership for Pets supports The Humane Society of Charlotte and Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control and is committed to improving the lives of all dogs in Charlotte. The campaign helps raise awareness for animal issues in Charlotte, and educates citizens on how to get involved to help unwanted and homeless animals in the community.

"We are so excited about building an army of animal welfare partners to assist us in combating the over-population of unwanted companion pets in our community," said Mark Balestra, Director of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control. "This fundraising event at the Zoom Room will help us reach our ultimate goal: eliminating the euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs."

At the Zoom Room Charlotte, owners will learn how to teach their dog everything from agility, obedience and therapy dog training, to puppy preschool, scent tracking, shy dog training for rescue dogs and other activities, giving not only the dog a workout, but the owners as well. In addition to group and private classes, the Zoom Room serves as a dedicated event center for dog birthday parties, charitable fundraisers and other canine events. Charlotte dog owners will also enjoy the carefully-curated selection of solution-oriented pet retail products, including training gear, all-natural treats, eco-friendly toys and puzzles, and hand-crafted leather leashes.

"We couldn't think of a better way to introduce the Zoom Room to Charlotte than through a day filled with activities that are engaging and entertaining for both dogs and their owners," said Julene Kautzman, owner of Zoom Room Charlotte. "It's the perfect environment to help dog owners strengthen the bond with their pets."

The original Zoom Room opened in Culver City, CA in 2007 and was founded by Los Angeles, CA dog training expert Jaime Van Wye. As a sporty, eco-friendly and fresh approach to dog training, the Zoom Room is the fastest-growing pet franchise in the U.S. and a thriving leader in the $48 billion pet industry.
