Fresh Healthy Vending And Healthy Child Healthy World Announce Winners For Free Healthy Vending Machines

With almost 40 percent of their students being overweight or obese, Rutherford County Schools submitted themselves to win a free healthy vending machine to make positive, healthy changes for the students. "Our vending machines are full of high fat, high calorie, processed foods," said Jenna Stitzel from Rutherford County Schools. "It's difficult to move healthy options in because the machines are money-makers for the schools. If one of the healthy machines performed well in a high school, then we believe there would be a domino effect in the remaining schools."

In addition, The Book Carriage and Coffee Shop has won a free Fresh Healthy Vending Cafe machine to drive their business, increase productivity, reduce labor costs, and provide an organic coffee option to their customers.
