Fridley, MN Dentist Hosts Food Drive to Help Feed the Need in Anoka County

FRIDLEY, MN, November 2, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Dentistry for the Entire Family will be collecting canned and dry goods November 1-30, 2016. All donations will be given to Anoka county emergency food shelves.

According to Minnesota Foodshare, One in ten Minnesotans, experience food insecurity on a regular basis. 44% of these families have at least one employed adult residing in the house. It is heartbreaking to know that 47% of adults and 14% of children skip meals because there is not enough food at home.

Dr. John Cretzmeyer, DDS and his dental team want to help feed those in need in our local community. Adequate nutrition is not only vital for general health and well being, but also important for teeth development and prevention of dental disease such as tooth decay and gum disease.

We have set up a donation table in our dental reception room to collect non-perishable food items November 1-30, 2016.Donations are accepted during business hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from  7:30am-5:00pm. Wednesdays from 7:30am-8:00pm, and on Fridays from 7:30am-4:30pm. Items collected will be donated to Anoka County emergency food shelves.

Additionally, each person who donates a non-perishable food item can enter to win a $50 Cub Foods gift certificate. To enter:

1. Donate a nonperishable food item(s).
    
2. Take a picture with one our fun Thanksgiving Day inspired photo booth props to show your friends & family your generosity.
    
3. Post your photo to Facebook and tag Dentistry for the Entire Family.
    
4. The winner of the $50 Cub Foods gift certificate will be announced on Thursday, December 1st on Dentistry for the Entire Family’s Facebook page.
