The full scholarship-based comprehensive training program has been curated by leading US university educators to deliver job-ready AI skill sets to participants, and will be taught by notable external and in-house AI experts.
Fusemachines first launched AI Fellowship in 2017 with the goal of bringing high-quality AI training opportunities to underserved markets. With the expansion to new markets in Latin America, the organization aims to engage a diverse pool of students and graduates with limited access to quality AI training opportunities.
"As a company on a mission to democratize AI, we are passionate about unlocking access to high quality AI education programs - and by extension - AI-driven possibilities globally," said Sameer Maskey, CEO and Founder, Fusemachines. "Since its launch, we have already empowered hundreds of fellows across five countries with AI skills, but this year, we are looking to extend our impact to more regions in Latin America. By delivering best-in-class AI training, we hope to add to the much-needed global AI talent pool, while delivering socio-economic impact through AI-based career opportunities."
"Latin America holds immense promise in terms of AI-led business transformation," said Joey Morel, Sr. Director of Operations - Latin America at Fusemachines. "However, to accomplish the goals of AI-driven transformation, it's imperative to have a reliable talent pool. With each new iteration of the program, we provide training that caters directly to evolving industry needs."
Fusemachines AI Fellowship 2023 - Latin America will offer Fusemachines' proprietary Microdegreeâ„¢ program in a period of 24 weeks. The accelerated learning program will allow participants to sharpen their AI and data science skills through specialized courses in Machine Learning (ML), Deep learning (DL), Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision as well as hands-on problem solving experience in critical projects - including in large language models and generative AI.
Upon completion of the program, students will have developed a solid understanding of AI, ML and DL algorithms as well as underlying mathematics and programming concepts. The program will employ a blended learning method featuring weekly live online classes, programming assignments, group projects and proctored examinations. Additionally, most of the content will be available online for students to peruse at their own pace.
