G-Cube wins LearnX Impact Award 2015 in the Mobile App Category for Best Learning Design

G-Cube, a leader in innovative e-learning, has won the coveted Platinum LearnX Impact Award in the Best Learning Design - Mobile App category. The annual LearnX Impact Awards recognizes in the area of organizational training and e-learning.

G-Cube showcased a mobile-enabled solution created for Royal Philips – a technology company that is known globally for creating meaningful and modern solutions in the area of Healthcare, Consumer Lifestyle and Lighting.

G-Cube developed an application that makes a variety of learning cue-cards available on the learner’s device – be it the laptop, while travelling; the iPad, while making sales calls; or the desktop, when inside the office. The app presents the cue cards in a unique catalogue display that makes sure that the learner is able to access the required content efficiently and quickly. With crisp content and attractive graphics, the cue cards make the learner well-informed as well as highly inspired to share the many benefits of appropriate lighting solutions.

Close collaboration with Philips helped G-Cube gather insights on how lighting affects behaviour as well as perceptions. Lighting plays an important role in making spaces comfortable for people and helps them perform better. The effects of lighting can make us feel a myriad of emotions. Lighting can be utilized differently in different spaces.

This formed the learning objective – to provide insights into the effects of lighting, keeping in mind the different settings as well as different emotions. Thus, G-Cube created two verticals – ‘Different spaces where we use light’ and ‘How light affects people and spaces’. Each cue card was built to represent one feature from each vertical, with a story and character to validate the lasting effects of appropriate lighting. With 115 different cards, each demonstrating an individual example, the cards hold a worth of practical knowledge about the various implementations of lighting solutions and their effects.
