Gala Dinner "Bridge of Hope"
To Raise Funds for Children Living with Disabilities and HIV
February 12, 2011 - Centara Grand at Central World Ballroom, Bangkok
DTAC and Ananda Development together with Centara Grand at CentralWorld are hosting "Bridge of Hope", a Charity Gala Dinner to raise funds for the Camillian Home for Children Living with Disabilities.
The Camillian Home is the only facility in Thailand dedicated to caring for these abandoned children in a family atmosphere, and it aims to serve as a model for how Thai society should care for vulnerable children with special needs. Significant work is also being carried out for disabled people living in the community. The Home receives very little government support, but instead survives on the generous support and donations from individuals and corporations. The "Bridge of Hope" Gala Dinner has therefore been organized to raise funds in order for the Camillian Home to continue to move forward in its initiatives.
The event will consist of a four-course meal beautifully prepared by Centara Grand's top chefs and accompanied by fine Italian wines generously provided by Italasia and Gfour. Highlights of the evening will be a fashion show staged by international designers, a special performance by Patravadi Theatre, and music by Billy Ogan and Debbie Klongtrudroke. There will also be an auction for artwork, custom-made jewelry, custom-designed dresses from leading designers (Tube Gallery, Fly Now and Chai Gold Label), and the prestigious '3 Italian Chefs for a Day Auction' whereby Chef of the Year Gianni Favro, Luca Appino (LaBottega) and Angelo Rottoli (Beccofino) will create a private 6-course dinner for a group of eight in your own home. Supermodel Cindy Bishop will be one of the hosts of the evening and will also present the fashion show.
The cost of this fabulous evening is 3,000 Baht per person. Or why not gather your friends and book a table of ten for 30,000 Baht to ensure this is a truly memorable event. Not only do we guarantee a wonderful time, but we also guarantee that 100% of the funds raised will go to the Camillian Home.
