Dairy products leader in Italy and around the world, the company has confirmed its choice of XTEL as a provider of sales process automation solutions by adopting nearly all the modules of the SM1 suite.

The Galbani brand, with more than 400 products sold in over 100 different countries, is also the most exported brand of Italian cheeses in the world.
A veritable giant, therefore, which has built its fame and success on consumer confidence (who doesn't remember the slogan "Galbani means confidence"?), gained thanks to a respect for tradition in production and the application of accurate controls. Product quality, protecting the health of consumers and customer satisfaction have always been the primary objectives of the company, which adopts specific procedures throughout the production chain.
Needless to say, in order for such a positioning to be maintained, all of the company's processes must be effective, efficient and cutting-edge. It is no coincidence that Gruppo Lactalis Italia has reconfirmed its confidence - it is worth pointing out - in XTEL, a leader in Europe in sales process automation solutions for consumer goods manufacturers, and has come to adopt nearly all of the modules of XTEL's Sales Master One suite.
The company already relied on Sales Agreement, a module dedicated to managing agreements with the trade, which has been confirmed and updated with the new release. It will add many products of the Sales Master One family, so as to be able to count on a single specific, effective, integrated platform: Sales Promo, for optimal management of promotional campaigns; Sales Planning, to optimize the planning of sales volumes and trade investments; Sales Force, to coordinate the field sales force; Sale Execution, for effective point-of-sale monitoring.
The solutions will be perfectly integrated with the company's ERP system (SAP) and with the business intelligence solution adopted by Galbani and the Lactalis Italia Group. The distribution channels involved will range from large-scale retail to the normal trade, to the foodservice industry.
"It is a project of considerable dimensions - commented Giuliano Tosi, who is overseeing the project for Gruppo Lactalis Italia - and will involve a good number of our people: initially around thirty at the head office and about 180 in the field, at different levels of the hierarchy, to whom another 120 will be added during the year, engaged in activities tied to promotions and agreements".
Gruppo Lactalis Italia expects many benefits from this small revolution: a strong reduction in the operational activities supporting sales processes, automation of processes not yet covered, such as point-of-sale monitoring, customer business plans, sales targets, integrated management of sales processes, and rationalization of applications thanks to the use of a complete suite, which is easily accessible in both the online and offline modes and user friendly.
