Gallery In The Garden Enters Sixth Year With A Call For Exhibiting Artists
Online, June 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Gallery In The Garden, an annual event that celebrates the synthesis of art in nature, announced today its call for artist submissions for the July 30 and 31 show. Entering its sixth year, Gallery In The Garden seeks artists to exhibit their work in disciplines including jewelry, ceramic, stained and blown glass, photography, sculpture, painting, illustration and printmaking.
"For the past five years Gallery In The Garden has delivered on its promise to be one of the most unique and intimate settings to showcase artists from Illinois and Wisconsin," said Deb Glaubke, Co-Founder of Gallery In The Garden. "Artists love showing at Gallery because it offers them a wholly unique and natural atmosphere to exhibit their work, which is a departure from art shows in parking lots or on city streets."
Gallery In The Garden is held in a private garden at 600 Lawndale Ave., Woodstock, Illinois and is free to the public. Visitors to the show will experience these artists in an intimate, natural setting that features a water garden, oriental meditation garden and a variety of native and imported plantings. Interested artists should visit www.galleryinthegarden.com to download the artist prospectus and entry form to be submitted by June 30.
A portion of proceeds from all food, drink and art sales will be donated to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County in support of their work helping to give neglected and abused children a voice in the court system so they can grow up in safe, permanent homes. Both Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of McHenry County and Gallery In the Garden are 501(c)(3) Non-For-Profit organizations.
