Gaming Tablet From X2 Computing Nominated For 'Best Bingo Product Of The Year' Award

X2 Computing in the running for major award at ICE Totally Gaming 2012

A new tablet computer for bingo and casino applications from X2 Computing, is a finalist in the prestigious Totally Gaming Awards. These awards for part of the forthcoming ICE Totally Gaming exhibition in January 2012 and this mobile gaming device has been nominated for 'Best Bingo Product of the Year', an award that recognises new ideas and innovations within the sector.

X2's mobile gaming product, the X210, enables users to access multiple gaming content including Bingo and Slots. With low power consumption, and a range of battery options, it offers up to 20 hours of potential play from a single battery charge. This will enable operators to provide an enhanced gaming experience to customers and virtually eliminate the need to take gaming devices out of service for recharging, providing increased operational efficiency and significant additional revenues.

The X210 uses the Intel N270 or ARM11 processor with various storage options and is compatible with all major embedded operating systems including Windows CE, Windows Embedded 7, Linux and Android. The 10.2" multi-touch screen and built-in gyro enable multiple games to be played in landscape or portrait mode according to user preference.

The introduction of electronic bingo terminals offering richer content and increased operating hours benefits customers in a number of ways:

• With increased customer availability due to longer battery life, the devices are available for longer periods eliminating the disappointment when units may "die" on customers during sessions.

• Electronic Bingo has allowed operators to increase their customers spend per head at a time when overall visits are decreasing with customers playing more electronically.

• The ability to play more tickets electronically means that customers are able to increase their chances to win while the whole venue benefits from the increased prize pot enabling traditional paper players to also benefit.

• The increased power and large screen size of the device allows operators to introduce new and enhanced content to their customers creating more attractive product offerings and increasing spend in ancillary content including slots and novelty games.

The X210 is now in use by Gala, Mecca and Castle Bingo as well as several other independent operators including GameTech in Nevada, USA. Over 20,000 of these devices are now in play on a daily basis in the UK.
