Garvey Decor Consignment Store - 1-Year Anniversary

Online, September 10, 2010 (Newswire.com) - As a way to thank the community of St. Charles for a successful 1st year, Garvey Decor is having a "Parking Lot Garage Sale" this weekend, Saturday, September 11 (7am-5pm) and Sunday, September 12 (11am-4pm). Spaces are still available for a donation of $25 to Habitat For Humanity. Habitat for Humanity, Garvey Decor, and Garvey Team Orthodontics will be matching the donations. Dr. Michael Garvey has graciously donated his parking lot. 100% of proceeds from garage sale belong to the donator. So wheel and deal as you see fit, the money is all yours.

Garvey Decor Consignment Store offers 3200 square feet of a unique shopping experience. We consign furniture, home decor, artwork, crystal, jewelry, and much more at fantastic prices. We offer gently used furniture and home decor at a price everyone can afford. (See website for more info.) Our consignment is a 50/50 split and checks are issued the 1st of the month. When we opened a year ago on September 11, 2009, we had 11 consignors; we have grown to almost 400.

Not only is Garvey Decor benefiting, but the entire community and economy is benefiting. Last May when I thought to open this store, my prayer was to have GOD open or close doors and He opened every door and still opening doors today for a successful store. We are a family owned business. I am the owner (Lisa Garvey), my twin sister (Linda Dreisewerd) is the manager, and my brother (Ken Ulrich) is the assistant manager. My husband, Dr. Michael Garvey, is my partner. We will celebrate our 24-year anniversary next month. Dr. Garvey was my orthodontist (specialist - he only does braces) 27 years ago and I kept him.
