General Patent Corporation Acquires IPOfferings LLC to Expand Patent Brokerage Business -- Names Richard Ehrlickman, IPOfferings' Founder, Vice President

Online, January 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Suffern, N.Y., January 14, 2010 âˆ' General Patent Corporation (GPC), a leading intellectual property (IP) boutique focusing on patent licensing and enforcement as well as IP advisory services and IP brokerage, has acquired IPOfferings LLC, an IP brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla. IPOfferings' founder and President Richard Ehrlickman was named Vice President of General Patent Corporation.

IPOfferings will be folded into the General Patent corporate group, and will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of IP Holdings LLC, an IP-centric merchant banking organization affiliated with GPC. Aside from his position as Vice President of GPC, Mr. Ehrlickman will continue to serve as President of IPOfferings LLC, which will function as the patent-brokerage arm of IP Holdings.

Richard Ehrlickman spent 30 years at IBM, the last nine as Vice President of the Intellectual Property and Licensing Technology Group. After leaving IBM, Mr. Ehrlickman served as CEO at Automated Resource Group and, later, as Executive Vice President at TAEUS International Corporation, before founding IPOfferings in 2009.
