German American Business Outlook 2010/2011 - Annual Survey of German Firms

Survey of German Firms in the US to be presented at the New York Stock Exchange on Nov. 30, 2010

Over 3,000 German owned businesses create more than 650,000 jobs in the United States.Investment by German companies in the US has reached $218 billion - in comparison to India with $4.4 and China with less than $1 billion. The German American Business outlook will show how Germany companies performed in the year 2010 and what their perspective is for 2011. This year, close to 2,000 German subsidiaries in the United States were asked to share their insight and strategic views on topics like currency fluctuation and job creation.

The German American Chambers of Commerce (GACCs), the Representative of German Industry and Trade (RGIT), and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants conduct this survey annually to assess German investors' projections for the U.S. economy, their opinion about the U.S. as an investment location, and the current state of their U.S. subsidiaries. The presentation is followed by a panel discussion with CEOs of German subsidiaries and the GACC offices in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta, as well as the Representative of German Industry & Trade (RGIT) in Washington, DC.
