"Get the Muskets" is meant to inspire those who understand or those looking to understand, that they only need to look towards their forefathers to recall and learn what they stood for, believed in, and fought so strongly for. Such as in December 1775, when an essay in the Pennsylvania Journal was published; understood to be by Benjamin Franklin under the believed pseudonym "American Guesser". The American Guesser suggested that the rattlesnake was a good symbol for the American spirit:
