Giant Party Bike Cruises to Fort Collins

Online, June 7, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A new local company is sure to turn heads in downtown Fort Collins this summer. MyHandleBar is partnering with The Fort Collins Brewery to launch the giant party bike on June 17.

MyHandleBar is a 16-passenger party bike complete with a designated driver used to cruise around the bars and breweries of Fort Collins. Colorado native and serial entrepreneur Theresa Preston founded MyHandleBar earlier this year with operations in Fort Collins and Boulder. The bike, which originated in the Netherlands, combines exercise with tasting some of Colorado's best food and drinks.

MyHandleBar's Fort Collins bike routes focus on local breweries and famous bars. This giant bike is an awesome, eco-friendly option for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, brewery tours, company parties and just nights on the town.

The company officially launches tours beginning July 1, but a kick-off party will be held on June 17 from 4 - 8p.m. at The Fort Collins Brewery, 1020 E. Lincoln Ave. The party will include:

• Free rides on the bike (for all people over the age of 18)
• Food from Gravity Ten Twenty at The Fort Collins Brewery
• Free music and entertainment
• Free beer (for the first 100 people)
• Raffles and giveaways

"I originally saw this concept in a magazine and thought it was amazing," said Preston. "Given the physically conscience nature and love of craft beer that Coloradoans have, I was certain that this would be appealing to a lot of people. Since I am local, my focus is on local partnerships, local bars and local beer like The Fort Collins Brewery."
