GIM Shines In The List Of 'SkillTree Great Place To Study - India Edition'

Online, July 7, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Goa Institute of Management has recently been felicitated at the 'SkillTree Great Place to Study - India Edition'. Organized by SkillTree Knowledge Consortium, India's first syndicate of private universities and institutions in the country, in association with Sterling Media, a leading name in International communications, the event was held at the hallowed House of Commons in London on June 24, 2014.

Hosted by Mr Bob Blackman, Conservative MP for Harrow East, the event brought together leading personalities from the world of academia of India and the UK. In all, 20 educational institutes from the country were recognised on the big day for their exemplary contribution to the education sector in India and bringing it into spotlight internationally. Over the years, India has taken a leading position in global education revolution and continues to be at the forefront when it comes to creating outstanding learning environment for students at an affordable rate.

The 'SkillTree Great Place To Study - India Edition' initiative came into being with the aim of showcasing India's prowess as an education hub and learning centre. Hence it was only apt that some of the biggest and best educational institutions were rewarded for their efforts on the day of the event. Dr. Ajit Parulekar, professor GIM represented the institute on the day of the event and accepted the award on its behalf.
