Girls-Only Golf Academy Set to Launch Summer 2019

International Junior Golf Academy Founder to open All-Girls Junior Golf Academy

G2 Girls Golf Academy

Ray Travaglione, the Founder of the acclaimed International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA) and the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT), which provided a platform for thousands of junior golfers to receive scholarships to colleges and universities since 1997, announces the launch of the exciting All-Girls Junior Golf Academy called The G2 Golf Academy.

The G2 Golf Academy is the first exclusively, female-only, full-time junior golf academy.

Based in Bluffton, South Carolina, The G2 Golf Academy will provide world-class golf instruction, an accredited academic schedule with small class sizes and AP Classes, mental training to help achieve specific, individualized goals and a female-specific fitness program including nutrition planning. The program will also include a special curriculum promoting female empowerment, leadership and community involvement. The Academy will focus on the development of young women on and off the golf course.

“Young women deserve a program that is exclusively designed for them,” says Travaglione, whose academies successfully connected 95 percent of their students to college golf scholarships.

“The G2 Academy created specific female-centric training methods designed to maximize effectiveness in all aspects of growth and development,” adds Travaglione. “The G2 Academy is committed to providing an effective training model for young females in all components of golf, while simultaneously empowering them into the next generation of leaders.  Current academy models are generic and favor male athletes. Our mission with The G2 Academy is to provide a comprehensive program designed to build well-rounded young women prepared to excel in the rigors of college golf and the challenges presented to this new generation of female leaders.”

The launch of G2 comes with support from leaders across the golf industry. Suzy Whaley, current Vice President of the PGA of America and President-elect to take office this November, believes in The G2 Academy model for the success of female junior golfers:

“Kelly’s tenure at IJGA, in Hilton Head, SC, was instrumental in her ability to receive a college scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and elevated her skills with the goal of playing professional golf. Our family was so pleased with her tenure there, and I recommend it highly to any family looking for a golf academy that delivers on all aspects including, golf skills, fitness, biomechanics, mental strategy, and overall wellness. This new platform, G2, solely for girls, and founded by Ray Travaglione, the same owner as IJGA, is designed to shape the future generation of female golfers.”
