Give Thanks for the Shopping Season at the Sacramento Harvest Festival®
One of the Nation's Top Craft Shows Returns to Cal Expo
Sacramento, Calif., August 19, 2014 (Newswire.com) - For the best and most unique holiday shopping experience this year, avoid the mall and instead head to the Sacramento Harvest Festival®, happening November 21-23 at Cal Expo.
The Harvest Festival is one of the largest indoor arts and crafts shows on the West Coast, featuring hundreds of vendors, exciting entertainment, delicious specialty foods and fabulous prizes.
Ranked as one of the top 200 craft shows in the country, the Harvest Festivals offer over 24,000 unique handmade gifts that are all handmade in America. Guests can browse original art, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, photography, pottery, toys, home décor and more.
With musical acts such as local favorites Cash Tribute featuring James Garner and Sister Swing, attendees come for the shopping but stay for the entertainment. There will also be strolling performers such as Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf wandering the aisles and serenading shoppers. Be on the lookout for WC Willy who will be towering high above the festival on his stilts.
Children are encouraged to "go green" as they take part in eco-friendly art projects at the interactive KidZone, hosted by Nature of Art for Kids, a company offering non toxic and repurposed art supplies. Plus, New York Life will be on hand offering free child ID kits.
The AT&T Pioneers have been invited back as the official non-profit partner of the Sacramento Harvest Festival. The AT&T Pioneers, a volunteer network that helps local communities by aiding educational programs, running local food drives, and assisting after natural disasters, will receive half of the proceeds from shopping bag sales, as well as all the proceeds from the bag and parcel check and the gift wrapping station.
Elk Grove Food Bank Services will also return to the festival with its annual food drive. The non-profit organization will be onsite providing a $2 off discount admission to anyone who brings a non-perishable food donation.
Each day there will be a grab bag prize giveaway, and one lucky winner will be chosen on Sunday for the grand prize drawing for an ipad mini.

ABOUT THE HARVEST FESTIVAL ORIGINAL ART AND CRAFT SHOW®:
The Harvest Festivals began 42 years ago in San Francisco as a destination for artists and craftspeople to gather and have a forum to sell their handmade products. Today, the show has grown to encompass nine shows in the state of California and Nevada and still continues its tradition by only featuring handmade arts and crafts made in the United States. Each exhibitor is subject to a rigid jury process to be selected as a featured artisan, ensuring a rich diversity and high quality of all products sold. Attendees are able to directly interact with the artists, watch crafting demonstrations, and can get many gifts personalized. The Harvest Festivals are owned and managed by Western Exhibitors, a family owned company.
