Glasgow Global Announces the Signing of the Futsal Federation Contract in Brazil

PORTO ALEGRE, BRAZIL, June 27, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Following the signing of the agreement earlier this year Glasgow Global Group has effectively expanded its business from Soccer to Futsal. Glasgow signed an exclusive contract with the Gaucho Futebol de Salao, the Futsal official Federation in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.  The Federation currently comprises of 36 teams, this is an important milestone for Glasgow as it fits in neatly with the company’s continued expansion. 

Futsal continues to grow rapidly and globally especially in Asia, Europe and Australia. These are identified as key markets for Glasgow and hence the tie up with Futsal makes sense to the business. It also means Glasgow now has, via its various agreements direct exposure with 42 teams (soccer and futsal) in Brazil. Plans for expansion Internationally are well under way. 

Glasgow will release the first of its fully bonded online lottery ticket sales shortly, these will allow customers from all over in Brazil to purchase tickets for any of the league teams.

Futsal is a popular variant of association football.  It is played on a smaller, usually indoor field and comprises of 5 players per side instead of association football’s 11.  It is one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
