Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Helping Area Teens Prepare for SAT Test Preparation

Glen Cove, NY, October 10, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club is offering a six-week SAT Test Preparation course to help junior and senior high school students better prepare for this mandatory entrance exam used by colleges and universities to gauge all applicants.  The program, beginning on October 18 and ending on December 1, will be conducted by an instructor from The Princeton Review.  This course, available at a comparatively nominal fee, is an investment for the Club and its Goals for Graduation mission.

The first of four practice SAT tests to determine students’ aptitude will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 9 am – 1 pm.  The first of six instructional classes will take place on Monday, October 20 from 6 pm – 9 pm.  All subsequent instructional classes will be held on Monday evenings while three additional SAT diagnostic testing will take place on the following Saturday mornings - November 1, November 15 and November 22.

The cost for the SAT Course at the Club is $100 per student, with a $50 rebate if they attend all classes and attend 3 Money Matters workshops.  This price includes six instructional classes, four diagnostic tests, reading and testing materials.  In order to participate in the Course, students must be a member of the Club.  Membership fee for new and returning Club members is $25.00.  To reserve your seat in the course, contact Antoinette Edmonstonat 516-671-8030, ext. 107.  There are only xx seats left and seats will be filled on a first come first serve basis.
