Glidewell Laboratories Releases Latest Issue of Dental Implant Magazine Inclusive™

New Issue of Inclusive Magazine, the Multimedia Publication of Glidewell Laboratories Focused on Implant Dentistry, Now Available

Glidewell Laboratories, industry-leading provider of dental products, implant solutions and lab services, announced today that the latest issue of Inclusive™ magazine, its multimedia publication focused on implant dentistry, is now available in print and across multiple digital platforms. The digital edition of the new issue, Volume 7, Issue 4, as well as past issues of the quarterly magazine, can be viewed from all popular desktop, tablet and smartphone platforms by visiting inclusivemagazine.com.

The latest issue commemorates the life and legacy of Dr. Carl E. Misch, whose teachings, textbooks and principles are responsible for much of the foundation upon which modern implant therapy stands. The feature article compiles tributes from around the dental community, including a moving, comprehensive memorial by Dr. Misch’s dear friend, colleague and partner in implant education, Dr. Randolph Resnik. Dr. Resnik’s reflections are essential reading for anyone wishing to understand Dr. Misch’s life, what he has meant to implant dentistry, and the indelible mark he has left on this world. While Dr. Misch is most well-known for his establishment of the Misch International Implant Institute and authoring of the textbook, “Contemporary Implant Dentistry,” the testimonials of those who knew him reveal that his warmth, generosity and dedication left an imprint on everyone he encountered.

The new issue’s clinical content includes an article by Dr. Timothy Kosinski that describes how a prosthetically driven treatment plan, bone augmentation and immediate implant placement can accomplish a predictable, esthetic outcome. In an article illustrating a very different approach to immediate implantation, Dr. Siamak Abai reviews a unique case in which surgery was required months prior to extraction to address a periapical defect resulting from a failed apicoectomy.

Dr. Perry Jones’ article continues the case presentation he began last issue, focusing on the guided surgical placement of implants followed by the immediate delivery of a prefabricated BioTemps® bridge. In another ongoing series, Dr. Resnik presents his second article on the principles of implant occlusion, explaining how to minimize occlusal overload on single-unit implant prostheses.

Research Associate Shreya Shah’s new article reviews the latest scientific studies on full-arch implant restorations and outlines the prosthetic complications reported for screw-retained hybrid dentures. With a monolithic construction that avoids chips, stains and fractures, the BruxZir® Full-Arch Implant Prosthesis offers a more durable alternative. Dr. Siamak Abai’s latest clinical tip demonstrates how to take a final impression using an implant verification jig, which ensures a correct representation of the inter-implant positions and a passive fit for the full-arch implant restoration.

In this issue’s “My First Implant” column, Dr. Resnik revisits his early experiences placing implants, offers tips for practitioners who are just getting started, and shares his thoughts on how practitioners can keep up with the ever-changing research and technology being introduced to the profession. Practice management consultant Dr. David Schwab’s latest article discusses marketing strategies for dental practices advertising on TV, radio and the web, as well as effective messaging techniques for educating patients and staff on the benefits of dental implants.

After reading the articles, viewing the case photos and watching the videos, readers have the opportunity to take free interactive continuing education (CE) tests through the Glidewell Education Center. Participants can earn free CE credits through the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) program for each test they complete and pass.

Inclusive magazine is published by Glidewell Laboratories and President/CEO Jim Glidewell, CDT. Each issue of Inclusive seeks to highlight the many aspects of dental implants from clinical and laboratory perspectives. Featuring case studies, clinical techniques, and practice management tools in both article and video format, Inclusive prompts its readers to implement the latest advancements in implantology in order to achieve predictable, profitable and reproducible results.
