Global Consolidation of IBM AIX Administration Methodology
Mt Xia Inc. kicks off it's global effort to create a consolidated IBM AIX Administration methodology based on business continuity principles.
Online, June 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Mt Xia Inc. announced today the opening and kick-off of a global effort to create a consolidated IBM AIX Administration methodology utilizing business continuity principles. This effort is centralized on a web site called "AIX Expert" at http://www.aixexpert.com. The AIX Expert web site is designed to provide a collaborative Wiki environment that has been extensively categorized around business continuity concepts. In the context being used by AIX Expert, the term "Business Continuity" is defined as:
"Business continuity consists of the activities performed on a daily basis to ensure the business operates normally today, tomorrow, and beyond. The business continuity plan may be thought of as a methodology, or as an enterprise wide mentality of conducting day-to-day business."
The objective of the AIX Expert web site is to consolidate the structure and design of IBM AIX systems in data centers world wide into a standardized implementation that can be easily referenced and managed by global system administration organizations.
Mt Xia has observed that a very large percentage of the effort in system administration is simply training and retraining system administrators as they enter and leave an organization. Mt Xia wants to significantly reduce that effort by providing a business continuity design that provides a desirable implementation for IBM AIX in all environments, including high availability, disaster recovery, virtualization, and any future developments. By providing a standardized business continuity environment, Mt Xia will enable administrators to be immediately productive in any organization adhering to the implementation of the standards detailed on the "AIX Expert" web site.
