Global Security Pipeline Launches Cyber Security Dedicated Finance Forum

Cyber Security Finance Forum to take place in Washington, DC in October of 2011

Global Security pipeline (www.globalsecuritypipeline.com), the leading source of real-time news and data on the Global Security sector and the producer of the highly successful Homeland Security Finance Forum, is delighted to announce the launch of the Cyber Security Finance Forum taking place in Washington, DC in mid October this year.

"As cyber attacks become increasingly pervasive, threatening the viability of our infrastructure, financial systems, and our military capabilities, there is an urgent need for governments and corporations to invest in technologies and solutions that will detect, protect and prevent attacks in cyberspace," commented Douglas Lloyd, CEO of Global Security pipeline.

The Cyber Security Finance Forum is being launched as the sector starts to dominate the security investment landscape. During the last 12 months Global Security pipeline has recorded private equity and venture capital investment of over $11 billion in the cyber security sector, making it the largest security vertical in terms of investment and now significantly ahead of the more established physical security sector. Lloyd concluded: "We are launching this event to bring together the critical combination of institutional investors and high growth companies both to maintain investment momentum in the sector and to facilitate the development of solutions and technologies that are critical to combat these increasingly serious threats."

The Cyber Security Finance Forum 2011 will offer a unique opportunity for high-growth companies in the sector seeking capital, contemplating acquisition/recapitalization, or another form of transaction, to present their business strategy to investors and stakeholders active in this sector.
