Gmail Rolls Out New Features For IOS

Online, July 9, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The leading Internet search engine provider, Google has modified its Gmail service to run on iOS driven devices on Monday, which has been the talk of the town for not being too much functional as that in website or in Android devices.

According to Google, the new feature includes an iOS Notification Centre that will enable your iDevice to notify you when a new message is received in your Gmail account. Compatible to all iOS devices, like, iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, the user will be alerted of any messages even if the screen of the device is locked. Google also stated that, it not only quickens up the entire process, but enables the users to send an email using an alternate e mail ID. Apart from this, the user may send a message simply by hitting the "send as" button, and can opt. a message to show it as a banner in iOS5 devices.

Google also reports that the application now provides the advantage of a consistent login allowing the users to hang in as long as they want, while earlier the user was logged out automatically after certain interval and was required to provide their login details again once logged out. However, the updated version has eliminated this step allowing a smooth operation to the users.

This is the second major update in the application since its launch in the month of November 2011. The first updated was done in the month of December incorporating a number of features including voice alert for all incoming messages, vacation responder, custom signature, etc. making it much like Gmail's mobile web application. But, it did not receive much appreciation from its users, hence by rolling out the new features this time, Google hopes to be at par the Android application or perhaps even better than that, revealed a source.
