Gold House Announces 2024 A100 Honoring the Most Impactful Asian Pacific Leaders
LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2024 (Newswire.com) - Gold House, the leading cultural ecosystem powering Asian Pacific creatives, companies, and communities, kicked off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) today with the reveal of its annual A100 List — the definitive honor recognizing the 100 Asian Pacific leaders who have most significantly impacted American culture and society in the last year — as well as several special honors for transformative impact and a brand-new category, New Gold, for rising Asian Pacific leaders. Top Asian Pacific organizations, creative and business leaders, and multicultural allies voted on the list. Gold House will celebrate these honorees through a slate of events from May 10 through May 11, including the A100 Honoree Welcome on May 10, exclusively for past and present A100 honorees, and the Gold Gala on May 11, the premier and most-viewed Asian Pacific celebration in North America.
“Being a Gold House A100 Honoree is such a moment of honour, to be sharing a platform with such stalwarts and to be a part of a community which is so vast spanning across industries, countries and generations. I have always stood by the belief that we all need to take individual strides towards building a future that celebrates our cultures, creativity and diversity," said actor, producer, and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt.
Asian Pacific leaders are redefining today’s standards and shaping our tomorrow. Asian Pacific-led creativity continued to break records in entertainment, with the most-watched Netflix show of 2023 (The Night Agent); the most-watched Disney+ film premiere of 2023 (Elemental); the most-watched FX premiere ever on Hulu (Shōgun); the first Asian to win “Male Artist of the Year” at the People’s Choice Awards (Jungkook); the most-watched YouTube Shorts creator of 2023 (Alan Chikin Chow); and the first Asian-created and -led television show to win an Emmy for Best Limited or Anthology Series (Beef). In sports, A100 and New Gold honorees represent the world’s highest-paid athlete (Shohei Ohtani); the first Asian player to score 100 Premier League goals (Heung-Min Son); the first high schooler drafted number one overall to the NWSL (Alyssa Thompson); and the most-viewed Super Bowl Halftime Show prior to 2024 (choreographed by Parris Goebel).
Asian Pacific leaders are also driving the most important technologies and policies that will determine the future, founding 42% of the IPO’d companies in the United States in the last two years. A100 honorees sit at the forefront of the AI revolution, including “Godmother of AI” Dr. Fei-Fei Li and executives at the most dominant AI players (e.g., AMD, Google Cloud, NVIDIA, Open AI, Salesforce AI, Scale AI). A100 honorees also lead the most crucial organizations ensuring that future technologies balance fundamental rights, including the Human Rights Watch, the National Resources Defense Council, and the White House Correspondents’ Association.
“This year was special: Asian Pacific leaders had a record number of records broken while building a more inclusive tomorrow for all, particularly in new avenues like AI. Gold House is honored to celebrate so many new and established leaders who are committed to both equity and excellence,” said Bing Chen and Jeremy Tran, CEO and COO of Gold House.
