Google Announces New Custom Themes

Google announces the launch of new Custom themes with the options of Light and Dark to give its users a more personalized experience.

Google recently announced in its blog that it is rolling out a brand new custom themes section for its Gmail users to provide them with a more personalized experience. The new change will be made public within the next couple of days letting its users to spice up their Gmail account with their personalized images.

Google announced that the users will now be able to set their personal images in the background by downloading pictures from their Google+ account, uploading it directly from the saved files in their devices or by simply pasting an image URL. One can also search for images by visiting the Featured Photos section added by Google recently, revealed Greg Bullock, a Software Engineer in Google, in their official blog post. In addition to this, he also said that the new feature will enable the users to merge the rest of the interface with its background image with two options of dark and light.

Whether you want to visit your favorite destination during your holidays or just want to recall some of the glorious moments spent together with your family members in the recent past, this new custom theme feature by Google will help you relish those moments every time you visit your Gmail account with your personalized background image. Currently, Google presents a set of multi colored images as background themes that the firm rolled out back in the year 2008.

In the year 2011, Google changed the appearance of Gmail along with introducing a set of new and beautiful HD themes, but now it wants to go a step further by offering costumed themes to its users, mentioned the blog.

However, Google has been constantly involved in updating the features of its email service, Gmail during the recent past. From integrating Google+ with Gmail, by allowing users to reply, view and post to Google+ notifications from within Gmail, to automatic message translation, Gmail has it all.
