Carter’s Biz Café is the proud host of the Second Annual North Bay Art & Film Festival (NBAFF) and will begin on Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 7, 2017.  If any filmmaker has a movie they would like to submit for the Film Festival, or for film submission information, please visit https://filmfreeway.com/festival/NorthBayArtFilmFestival .  The deadline to submit film entries is Tuesday, August 15.

The Second Annual North Bay Art & Film Festival (NBAFF) will showcase independent local, national and international short films along with the works of artisans from Northern California. The NBAFF is a campus-wide event that includes the Commanding Officers Quarters and the Benicia City Clock Tower, both historic sites in Benicia, California and is surrounded by the beautiful Carquinez Straits above the San Francisco Bay. Although held in Northern California, the North Bay Arts & Film Festival is an open event and the organizers expect a repeat of last year and receive submissions from throughout the nation and the world.

"We have received films from all over the U.S. as well as from international filmmakers in China, Iran, Sweden, France, Spain, Greece and more," said Carter Rankin, CEO and Founder of Carter's Biz Cafes.  William K. Wesley, Festival Coordinator adds, "The combination of the works of independent filmmakers and local artisans makes this event very exciting, and we expect dozens of artisans, artists and craftspeople from all over the Bay Area and Northern California to participate."

Prolific filmmaker and NBAFF Judge Chairperson Jacalyn Evone states, "Last years' 1st Annual NBAFF exceeded our expectations. The quality of the films, the venue, and the ambiance were unparalleled. With such close proximity to San Francisco and Silicon Valley, we hosted an exceptionally talented, socially aware and technologically connected audience. We featured virtual reality hands-on demonstrations, as well as Q&A with movie makers about films and technology used to make them."

NBAFF is in and supports the Solano County community. Part of the net proceeds will be given to the Benicia Education Foundation whose mission is to support the seven Benicia public schools. Carter’s Biz Café itself is a membership, co-working venture located in a 157-year old historical landmark known as the Commanding Officers Quarters in Benicia, California.

The deadline to submit film entries is Tuesday, August 15th.  For film submission information, please visit: https://filmfreeway.com/festival/NorthBayArtFilmFestival .
