Chapel Hill, N.C. - Grace Church of Chapel Hill North Carolina recently hired Durham native, David Dollar, as its worship leader and music director.

"We are very excited to bring David Dollar on board as part of our staff," said Kendrick Vinar, senior pastor at Grace. "We have a strong tradition of quality worship music at Grace, and David's youth, energy and passion for God and music will continue that emphasis."

David B. Dollar was born and raised in Durham and was introduced to music at a young age. He has been performing, writing songs and teaching guitar for almost 16 years. David has both formed his own bands as well as toured with such bands as Makeshift and Hoveller. He recently opened for the world-famous African Children's Choir.

"I'm completely honored and happy but also totally pumped to have been given this opportunity," Dollar. "The church leadership has been very supportive and I really feel like they're behind me which is great. More than anything, I want to be involved in helping people worship God like he's meant to be worshiped."
