Green Glue Brings Noiseproofing To Europe

Easy-to-use Noiseproofing System now available through acoustical specialist distributors in Europe

Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) has announced that company's groundbreaking Green Glue Noiseproofing System is now available in Europe. Customers can conveniently purchase the System - Compound, Sealant and Joist Tape - through local specialty acoustical firms.

Targeted at residential and commercial applications, the Green Glue Noiseproofing System is proven to be highly effective at damping the sound vibration between walls, ceilings and floors. While traditional soundproofing technologies are primarily effective only against high-frequency noise, the Green Glue System addresses low-frequency noise that is commonly generated in home theatre and recording studio environments.

"We are seeing increased demand for the Green Glue Noiseproofing System throughout Europe and wanted to ensure that customers have access to products as quickly and affordably as possible," said Benjamin Mardaga, Market Development Manager at Saint-Gobain. "Easy to store, handle, and ship locally to customers, the System generates significant value for our distribution partners and is a cost-effective acoustical solution for end-users."

Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound
Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound is a viscoelastic product that significantly dampens noise transmission by converting sound vibration into small amounts of heat. When applied as a constrained layer between two sheets of drywall, plywood or other building substrate, Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound reduces noise transfer from one room to the next by as much as 90 percent, including low frequency sounds that are normally resistant to soundproofing. The compound comes in easy-to-dispense tubes that can also be used with caulking guns for quick dispersal and is also available in 5-gallon pails with the Green Glue applicator tools for larger jobs.

Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant
Green Glue Noiseproofing Sealant plugs up gaps and cracks in walls and ceilings that are easily overlooked but which contribute significantly to noise transfer. When applied along wall and ceiling edges, the sealant can prevent these cracks from leaking noise and help maintain a high level of sound isolation.

Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape
Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape eliminates squeaky noise when foot traffic causes sub-flooring and joists to rub together. The Joist Tape acts as a sound isolating buffer when applied between joists and sub-flooring, and its low thermal conductivity improves energy efficiency.

The Green Glue Noiseproofing System is currently available through specialty acoustical distributors in the United Kingdom, France, Benelux, Hungary, Portugal and Spain:
