Green School Bali Hosts APEC International Youth Delegation to Help Usher in a Sustainable Economic Future for the Asian Pacific Region and Beyond.

Business minded youth from around the world converge at Green School tomorrow to add a message of sustainability to the APEC Voices of the Future youth summit declaration, being presented to Indonesian President & top CEOs this Sunday.

APEC (Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation) is the premier Asia-Pacific economic forum, whose primary goal is to support healthy economic growth and prosperity throughout the Asia-Pacific region. APEC represents over 20 countries stretching from East Asia to the Americas, including Australia, China, Canada, USA, Peru and the Philippines, to name a few.

On Thursday October 3rd, Green School Bali has the great honor of hosting & working with 130 APEC youth delegates to help bring a message of sustainability to their "Voices of the Future" declaration, which they will be drafting here on the Green School campus and presenting to Indonesian President Yudoyono and many leading CEO's from around the world on Sunday.

The Green School portion of APEC's weeklong "Voice of the Future" youth summit begins Thursday at 2:15 with the school's founder John Hardy's welcoming the group to the Green School campus. Following Mr. Hardy will beGreen School teacher Lucy Briggs, invoking the spirit of balance & personal integrity for the evening discussions. The APEC youth delegates and a select group of Green School High School students will then join with APEC facilitators & sustainability advisor, Charris Ford to help bring a strong 'Green' message into this year's Voices of the Future Declaration.

After an evening of breakout groups, collaborative discussions & creative writing activities the youth delegates & Green School students will complete the evening with a celebration dinner in Green School's breathtaking, three story, all bamboo "Heart of School" building.

In addition, two Green School students (Toby King & Alicia Anissa) have joined the delegates to make a documentary film about the week long APEC Youth Summit, taking place here on the island of Bali.
