This GreenWheaton effort is part of the ongoing and thriving conversation among residents and businesses on the challenges and rewards of going green in Wheaton. All Montgomery County residents are invited and welcome to attend this exciting opportunity to share their thoughts in an atmosphere of one of Wheaton's own pubs.

The Rainscape Garden captures some of the rainfall that the native plants help absorb instead of diverting the storm water runoff into the nearest storm drain where it would mix with litter, oil residue and other pollutants and contribute to the ongoing destruction of Sligo Creek and other local streams that are part of the larger Chesapeake Bay watershed.
