Greiner Bio-One North America Inc. Announces Ground Breaking for Manufacturing Expansion

Online, February 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Monroe, NC - Greiner Bio-One North America Inc. is pleased to announce that ground has been broken for a new expansion of the manufacturing facilities in Monroe, North Carolina. The current manufacturing facilities in Monroe serve as the headquarters for the North and Latin American markets.

According to Harald Gruellenberger, VP Operations, "since entering the North and Latin American markets the company has realized exceptional growth resulting in the need to expand the manufacturing facility in Monroe, NC." Mr. Gruellenberger added that the Monroe facility has grown to 243 employees over the past 10 years. The expansion of the manufacturing facility will add new jobs to the area and help to stimulate the local and national economies. The growth of the local and national economies have always been very important to the company.

The 99,500-SF addition to the existing manufacturing facility for Greiner Bio-One marks the second manufacturing expansion on site in two years. The addition will contain a 15,000-SF mezzanine with executive office areas on the upper level and lab areas with controlled environment below.
