GreyHeller Announces Stony Brook University Goes Live with PeopleMobile™ for Oracle® PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
HTML5 mobile system from GreyHeller, LLC gives students mobile access to information they need, including class schedules, grades, billing information and enrollment messages
Online, February 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - GreyHeller, LLC today announced that Stony Brook University has gone into live production with GreyHeller's PeopleMobile™ mobile app for Oracle® PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The mobile solution for iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows smartphones and tablets enables students to view important information on-the-go and supplements the computer workstation self-service capabilities.
According to Frances Dykstra, Stony Brook University's Associate CIO, "PeopleMobile™ allows Stony Brook University students access to a set of Oracle® PeopleSoft Campus Solutions capabilities - both standard PeopleSoft functionality and SBU customizations - to be accessed from smartphones. We expect PeopleMobile's design to minimize the amount of ongoing maintenance required of SBU's technical staff. GreyHeller's security system, ERP Firewall, which is embedded in PeopleMobile™, was a bonus. Used by PeopleMobile™ to detect a user's device, it also provides an additional layer of security on top of PeopleSoft. A bonus feature is the ERP Firewall's extensive logging and auditing of both mobile and non-mobile access to PeopleSoft enabling us to see how Oracle® PeopleSoft applications are being used."
PeopleMobile™ optimizes any PeopleSoft pages and customizations for display on smartphones. PeopleMobile™ simplifies common mobile application development by eliminating the need to develop individual mobile renditions of every PeopleSoft page/customization for every mobile device. PeopleMobile™ leverages GreyHeller's proprietary security algorithms to prevent security breaches while providing detail logging of mobile and workstation access to PeopleSoft.
Hendrix Bodden, GreyHeller's CEO, said "Stony Brook University conducted a rigorous evaluation of vendors of mobile functionality for PeopleSoft. Their selection of GreyHeller confirms the power and flexibility of PeopleMobile™ and the strength and value of our security system, ERP Firewall. We believe that Stony Brook's selection and implementation of PeopleMobile™ and ERP Firewall confirms GreyHeller as the gold standard for Oracle® PeopleSoft mobile and security technology."
