Mumford's is a folk-rock dance band hailing from Ames, Iowa and featuring a four-piece horn section. In 2009 Mumford's released their first EP which they followed in 2010 with their first full-length album entitled, "Eyes". The band has been back in the studio working on a new release scheduled for October 2010. Nate Logston, Mumford's lead singer, said, "This new release will be a 7" vinyl formatted dual effort with Samuel Locke-Ward and the Boo Hoos. We love working with the Boo Hoos and the combined sound is a fantastic audio extravaganza for fans of both bands". When asked what's next for Mumford's Nate continued, "Well, we're currently on the content for our second full-length album, to be released next year".
Mumford's has played in a vast array of venues ranging houses and basements through parking garages, churches, art galleries and office spaces to dive bars and top tier clubs. They have played at underground music festivals like Mission Creek Festival, Why Not Minot Fest, and the Nebraska Pop Rally. They have also shared the stage with many indie rising stars including the Poison Control Center, Mark Mallman, David Dondero, Christopher the Conquered, Theodore, Roommate, Little Teeth, Utopia Park, Keepers of the Carpet, and Honeycomb.
Griffle TV's roving audio/video team captures live performances using high quality HD video and professional audio systems. The shows are subsequently professionally mixed and mastered by world class engineer Chad Jacobsen and launched on YouTube at a rate of approximately one song per day. Justin McManus, Company President and co-founder said, "We are well past the 100,000 view mark, one or our early milestones, and the enthusiasm for what we are doing is really skyrocketing".
