"The smart comfort device we have developed using our technology can engage and communicate with humans, similar to Amazon’s Alexa®;" says Gary Smith, CEO. Pediatric patients can safely experience unlimited content delivered over the Internet to their smart comfort device. Also, the patient's family, friends and Health Care Providers can use a mobile application to communicate with the patient. The patient can also receive parental approved content delivered at their bedside. In addition, this technology allows a smart comfort device to be controlled remotely by parents and health care providers.
For instance, a mother could send a Voice Message to her child's teddy bear through a cell phone and the teddy bear would actually say her message to the child in the mother's natural voice. The teddy bear can also react in real time to online games, educational software or a BIGaVu enabled DVD. This truly creates an entirely new play experience that brings the virtual interactive world to the physical "smart comfort device” at the child’s bedside.
