Newport will use the Groupigg software to provide daily deals to consumers watching 50 television stations in 22 markets across the United States to which Newport either owns or provides services.

The agreement allows Newport Television to embrace the group buying trend and easily enter the daily deal market, which according to TechCrunch is estimated to grow to $2.7 billion in 2011.
