GTconsult to be Platinum Sponsor of Redmond, Washington Event, with Principals Geldenhuys and Buckley to Keynote Event in Bend, Oregon, and Conduct Training Sessions in Both Bend and Redmond
Cape Town, South Africa, October 1, 2014 (Newswire.com) - GTconsult, a Microsoft Gold partner in Content and Collaboration specializing in SharePoint, Office 365, Exchange, and Yammer, today has announced that the company has signed on as Platinum sponsor of SharePoint Saturday Redmond, which takes place October 11th at the Microsoft Conference Center on the Redmond campus. In addition, GTconsult co-founder Bradley Geldenhuys and Christian Buckley, who was recently appointed Managing Director, Americas for GTconsult, will jointly present the keynote session at SharePoint Saturday Bend on October 4th, which takes place at Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Oregon. Geldenhuys and Buckley will conduct regular training sessions at both events.
SharePoint Saturday is a community-driven technology event that has spread worldwide, with a central list of these global events with links to each regional activity provided at www.spsevent.org. The events are organized by local SharePoint user groups and influencers, staffed by volunteers from the community, and funded by product and consulting companies that serve the SharePoint community. GTconsult has a long history of sponsoring and organizing SharePoint Saturday events in South Africa, and with the addition of Buckley to the management team, inherits a long history of organizing these events across the western United States, including Los Angeles, Sacramento, Silicon Valley, San Ramon (East Bay), Bend, Salt Lake City, and Redmond.
"SharePoint Saturday provides a tremendous service for the SharePoint community," stated Christian Buckley, a 3-time SharePoint MVP who recently joined GTconsult to build out the brand and open its first office on the American continent. "It is a great way for people to network, to get some free training, and to ask questions from some of the leading voices in the expert community, all of whom attend and participate at their own expense. These events are not to be missed."
SharePoint Saturday Bend will take place on October 4th from 8am until 5pm at Central Oregon Community College, with registration open at ww.spsevents.org/city/Bend/Bend2014/. For the keynote, Buckley and Geldenhuys will discuss "The SharePoint Roadmap" as an interactive session with the audience, including questions and answers. Geldenhuys will then conduct a session called "Why SharePoint is the Future of Everything," with Buckley conducting a session called "Baby-Stepping Into the Cloud with Hybrid Workloads."
SharePoint Saturday Redmond will take place the following weekend, October 11th, also from 8am until 5pm at the Microsoft Conference Center, Building 33, on Microsoft's East Campus in Redmond. As Platinum sponsors, GTconsult will be hosting the speaker dinner on the 10th, and will maintain a booth in the exhibit area. Geldenhuys will once again present his session "Why SharePoint is the Future of Everything," while Buckley will conduct a version of his IT Pro session "Managing SharePoint On Prem vs Online: Compare and Contrast."
