Guardian Digital Forensics to Introduce NetSentry Live

NetSentry Live invisibly captures internet traffic, reconstructs, in near-real- time then archives the original content in a searchable database.

Guardian Digital Forensics, a leader in digital forensics consulting, will introduce NetSentry Live, a revolutionary new internet investigation product, at the 2010 U. S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Conference in St. Louis, MO. (Jan. 22-29, 2010). This conference focuses on all aspects of internet crime and incident response: intrusion investigations, cyber crime law, digital forensics, information assurance, as well as the research, development, testing and evaluation of digital forensic tools.

NetSentry Live invisibly captures internet traffic, reconstructs, in near-real- time then archives the original content in a searchable database. Non-technical administrators, using the point and click GUI, can easily view original Emails, Chat sessions, Web activity, FTP files, Peer-to-Peer communication, Telnet sessions and more from the target network. Search, alert, and reporting functionality are available on numerous attributes, including IP address, email address, usernames, chat names, and specific keywords or phrases within the content. NetSentry Live provides near-real-time search and email alerting with the original content attached to the alert email. It is anticipated that NetSentry will change the way Law Enforcement, Corporations and Government Agencies investigate and prosecute criminal activity, monitor their networks and employees, acquire and protect intelligence information, and litigate regulatory compliance cases.

NetSentry Live is available in Basic and Premium models. Each model provides a scalable solution for every size network. NetSentry Live Basic supports Email, Chat/IM, HTTP web link, Web page content, HTTP upload/download, limited VoIP, and webcam traffic. NetSentry Live Premium supports all protocols available in the Basic model, plus FTP, Telnet/BBS, Peer-to-Peer technologies, and online gaming protocols. Both models are equipped with all configuration, search, alert, reporting and analysis tools.

The Guardian Digital Forensics Consultants are experienced with cases such as complex capital murder, sexual molestation, child pornography, fraud, employee wrongdoing, wrongful termination, cyber-stalking, product counterfeiting, plagiarism, and intellectual property theft. Larry Daniel, Chief Forensics Examiner and CEO of Guardian, will be speaking at the conference on January 28th. on the topic "Challenging the Law Enforcement Examiner: What a Defense Expert Sees." Larry has provided expert digital forensics consulting in the forensic analysis of computers, cell phones, GPS, CD/DVD forensics, data recovery, and e-discovery for many cases like those mentioned above.

Larry recently indicated his perspective on how NetSentry Live will impact the digital forensics industry; "I am very excited about launching NetSentry Live. It is an easy to use product that features the ability to capture and reconstruct in near-real-time, original content from more that 25 common internet protocols in use today. The ability to undetectably capture, store, search, alert and report on actual content will revolutionize the internet predator investigation, intellectual property protection, CALEA investigation, and the overall cyber crime investigation and prosecution process."

Kathleen Carter, Principal with Guardian Digital Forensics, will also be representing NetSentry Live in the Conference Exhibit Hall. Exhibit participants are invited to visit the Guardian Digital Forensics/NetSentry Live booth for a chance to win a free version of NetSentry Live Basic and to test-drive the product using the hands-on demonstration tool. The NetSentry Live products and solutions are a 'must-see' and will be the talk of the 2010 DoD Cyber Crime Conference!
